Update from the road!

B11April 28 update from Pittsburgh Power, a diesel shop located in Saxonburg, PA.

In preparation for our first phase of modifications in the effort to improve fuel efficiency from an engine performance standpoint our tractor was put on their dynometer to establish a baseline for horsepower and torque.

We hit 555 for horsepower and our max torque was 1,610 ft/lbs.

With our main focus being fuel efficiency, achieving huge horsepower and torque numbers are not a primary concern, however they are a measurement of performance and an underperforming engine will negatively impact our mileage goal.
